Wilson Law Offices 18thAnnual Topless 50 Highlight Weekend of Topless Action

MIDDLEBOURNE, W.Va. -- The bad boys of the Super Late Model division will crank it up on Saturday Night, May 19th as a giant night at the Tyler County Speedway will see the running of the popular Wilson Law Offices 18thAnnual Topless 50, paying a hefty $4,000 to win. A big weekend is expected as all eyes look to the Middlebourne oval as the Topless 50 will serve as a warm-up to the Memorial weekend Bullring Bonanza and the running of the $25,000 to win “Jackpot 100”. As an added bonus to the weekend festivities the highly coveted “Jackpot 100” and “Let it Ride 55” provisionals will be up for grabs, making the stakes even bigger on the 19th. With a Jackpot starting spot up for grabs, the $4,000 payday will become a guaranteed $6,000 first prize as the winner will automatically punch the first ticket into the $25,000/$2,000 to start Memorial weekend main event.

How about we round out the Topless Weekend with the re-launch of the Cannonball Speedway in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Sunday, May 20th for the $3,000 to win Topless 35. Eager race fans will be greeted back to the re-configured Buckeye State Speedplant as the 1st Sunday Shootout Series event of the season dubbed the “Resurrection Season Opener” will officially take the green on the 2012 schedule. Gates open at 3, with hotlaps rolling off at 6. A full slate of action featuring the EDGE Crate Lates, TSMA Modifieds, Hotmods, ModLites, Mini Wedges and Pure Stocks are also on the card. EDGE Racing League Announce Partnership with City Chevrolet

The EDGE Crate Late Models will see the first two of six “Adrenalin Tour” events of the 2012 season.A Friday Night, May 18th debut will see the areas best up and coming crate racers hit the rejuvenated Elkins Speedway for a Topless $1,000 to win main event before heading to the ‘Bullring’in Middlebourne, WV for leg # 2 and another Topless $1,000 to win show as part of the undercard to the prestigious Topless 50.

In other ERL news, the newly formed crate late model alliance between Tyler County Speedway, Elkins Speedway and Cannonball Speedway are pleased to announce City Chevrolet has signed on as a major partner to the crate late model racing movement in the Ohio Valley region by awarding a brand new GM 604 Crate Engine at seasons end to one lucky racer among the ERL top 15 in points.

Bullring Bonanza Notebook; Just Added: Thursday Night Throwdown, May 24th

With Bullring Bonanza fever running rampant, speedway officials have opted to start the party a little early with a Thursday Night teaser as the biggest show of the summer will officially kick-off with the running of the Thursday Night Throwdown. Thursday’s action will see the United Rentals EDGE Crate Late Models, Bridgeport Equipment HotMod, and Herrington-Yoak ModLites and 4 cylinders open the weekend. Gates open at 5, mini wedges at 6:30 and racing gets underway at 7, general admission is just $10 with a $2.00 early bird special if arriving between 5-6, with pits priced at $20. An open practice for the Super Late Models and the Renegade of Dirt Modifieds in preparation for Saturday Nights Main Events, the Jackpot 100 and Let It Ride 55 are also on the docket.

Celebrating the 38th year of continuous operation and billed as the nations raciest bullring, Tyler County Speedway is a lightning quick high banked ¼ mile oval that produces 3&4 wide racing action and is located 3 miles south of Middlebourne, WV on State Route 18 at the scenic Tyler County Fairgrounds.
