GREENSBURG, Ind. -- The schedule for the fourth annual edition of Indiana Dirt Late Model Speedweek is set and it is obvious that the racers of the Northern Allstars Late Model Series better pack a lunch, they’re going to be busy. Four straight nights: Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Then it’s the checkered flag, the new champion has his picture taken and cashes his check. Thank you. We’ll do it again next year.

So mark your calendars and tell the boss you’re taking vacation: Wednesday, May 11, Twin Cities Raceway Park, North Vernon. Big and bad. Thursday, May 12, Lawrenceburg Speedway, on the Ohio. A unique challenge for the late models. Friday, May 13, Bloomington Speedway. Wicked fast. Saturday, May 14, Brownstown Speedway at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. The grand finale. Payday.

There’s a boost in this year’s Speedweek pay structure as each 30-lap feature will pay $2,500 to win and $300 to start. The purse for each program will be $12,225. The point fund, sponsored by UMP and Hoosier Tires, will award $2,000 to the Speedweek champion, with second through fifth earning $1,000, $600, $300 and $200, a nightly total of $4,100. Additionally, Oval Craft will award the Speedweek champion a new level 2 driver’s seat, valued over $380.

General admission will be $15 and pit passes $25 at all four facilities. Our new website www.latemodelspeedweek.com provides more information and links to all of the tracks’ websites. Complete results and updated Speedweek points will be posted there as soon as possible after each event.

Indiana Late Model Speedweek is appreciative of our sponsors, including Elliottbrand Web Design and Kiva Networking.
