Tuesday, June 12, 2012 Larson Gains First NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Win
 by Lee Elder, Goodyear Racing
JEFFERSON, Ga. -- California’s Kyle Larson collected the lead with five laps remaining and won the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Slack Auto Parts 150 at Gresham Motorsports Park.
It was the Larson’s first career series victory, making him the third first-time victor of the season for the Pro Series East. He brought to six the number of drivers who have won East races without a repeater.
The Pro Series East competitors race on Goodyear Eagle bias-ply tires, as do the teams in NASCAR’s Pro Series West and Canadian Tire Series. In fact, the three touring series all compete on the same line of Eagles, allowing teams and driver to race interchangeably without concerns about racing on unfamiliar tires.
Larson averaged 57.410 mph for the 150- lap chase around the half-mile oval. His margin of victory was .375 of a second. There were 29 starters.
Cale Conley finished second, followed by Brett Moffit, Corey LaJoie and Ben Kennedy.
Chase Elliott leads the standings with 230 points and Larson is next with 227.
