Local High School Junior ROTC Program Raise Funds During Race Week

Students of the A.L. Brown High School Junior Navy ROTC program located in Kannapolis, NC help will raise money for their program by working at Charlotte Motor Speedway during this weekend’s racing activities. Funding for this program is earned twice a year as students support food and beverage delivery to corporate sky boxes and club suites.

“It is an honor to continue our long-standing partnership with the Navy Junoir ROTC from A.L. Brown high School,” said Marcus Smith, Charlotte Motor Speedway president and general manager. “Programs like this instill values and traits in today’s youth that will last a lifetime.”

This is the primary fundraising activity for the program that also helps with community events.

Charlotte Motor Speedway has supported the A.L. Brown Junior Navy ROTC program through their partnership for the past eight years. During this weekend’s events, more than 50 students will be on hand.
