Doing it in GRAND fashion, as in the $10,000 type, the Vienna, West Virginian also cracked into the World of Outlaw Late Model series WIN column for the very first time in his career. The win extra-special coming on the heels of his young son Dylan’s birthday, whom celebrated with dear ole dad in Victory Lane in front of the # 30 “Drywall Systems Inc, L.A. Pipeline” sponsored Rocket / Mercedes machine. The win deposits Shaver directly behind early season Northern RANKINGS points leader Rick BOOM Briggs who’s currently ranked 7th in the Top 5 standings. DJ Myers also steps into the Northern RANKINGS Top 10, 25-points behind Shaver, winning his 2nd race of the 2009 season Saturday in Maryland.

Kelly Boen of Colorado takes sole possession of 35th in the standings with his win worth $4,000. at Park Jefferson Speedway in South Dakota. The standings remains the same for 1st – 7th as only three (3) events marked the $3,500 and above Northern RANKINGS guidelines this weekend. The VIKINGS kick-off the Northern RANKINGS early this week with a Tuesday special at North Central Speedway. Utica-Rome and Superior speedways see action on Wednesday. Thursday Cedar Lake Speedway cracks-open the MASTERS with a $5,000. to-WIN World Dirt Racing League event, while the Lucas Oil Dirt series fella’s head to Virginia and Maryland.Ohio and Kentucky share a pair of Northern RANKINGS events over the weekend also. Jim Yoder debuts the standings this week with a runner-up finish Saturday at Potomoc.
