Parity Abounds in Badger Mod Tour Teams Chassis Choice

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Parity is the name of the game as far as chassis choices go for the Custom Windows Plus Badger Mod Tour presented by Floors By Design & Directional Drilling Services during the first half of the 2012 season. To date, nine different chassis brands are represented amongst the top 20 in the current BMT point standings.

Harris chassis leads the way with 6 different drivers wheeling their cars in the top 20. Wild Inc., GRT and Slick chassis are in a three way tie with 3 drivers each driving their machines. Dirt Works, Pro, Jeff Taylor, PF Flyer and Predator chassis each have one driver apiece wheeling their equipment in the top 20. Of all the chassis manufacturers three of them are Wisconsin based businesses: Wild Inc. Slick and Predator.

To date, Neosho's Mitch McGrath has won two series races wheeling his own company's Wild Inc. race car. Middleton's Tim Lemirande won the Clash @ Creek IV at 141 Speedway on June 27 while Oconto Falls' Lance Arneson won the BMT's maiden voyage at Wilmot Raceway on June 17. Both Lemirande and Arneson each wheel Harris cars, giving Wild Inc. and Harris a tie with two wins Each.

McGrath leads the way with three podium finishes. Seymour veteran and current Tour points leader Brian Mullen has two podium finishes. Juneau's Russ Reinwald, Beaver Dam's Craig Priewe, Arneson, Lemirande, Green Bay's Benji LaCrosse, New Franken's Shawn Kilgore and Neosho's Joe McGrath each have one podium finish, respectively.

The BMT swings into the wide, 3/8 mile clay oval at Oshkosh Speedzone for it's next event Tuesday, August 21. The BMT will be joined by the WDLMA late models and the IMCA northern sportmods beginning at 7 p.m. Adult admission is $15.00. Just 48 hours later the Manitowoc County Expo will play host to the BMT Thursday, August 23 in a venue during the Manitowoc County Fair. The BMT will be joined by the street stocks. A 7 p.m. start time is in play, with a $10.00 adult admission getting you not only into the races, but your ticket to the Fair, Including the carnival rides.

141 Speedway, which is less than 15 minutes away from Manitowoc Expo, is offering free camping to out-of-area race teams, as well as the use of the tracks shop and welder if needed on the nights of August 21 and 22. A practice session will also be available for teams at 141 on Wednesday night, August 22 from 5 p.m. til dusk.
