SPRING RUN, Pa. -- With many local riders fresh from the AMA Progressive Insurance Grand Nationals in Springfield, IL, they roared around the smooth, steeply banked Path Valley Speedway Park quarter-mile Saturday night in a joint race with the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA).

Brandon Robinson of Oxford on his #44 Honda raced to his first win of the night in the 250B class and then returned with his Nationals-winning #1NE to take the 125cc Schoolboy win.

Shayna Texter of Willow Street and her brother Corey each also won two features. Shayna won in both the 100cc Modified and the 80cc 12-15 classes while Corey won features in the big 500 2-Valve and 505 Open classes. Corey Texter was racing with a broken left arm suffered at the Grand Nationals and said he should be back to his usual form in a few weeks.

On four wheelers, Dane Delancey of Port Royal raced to his 36th and 37th season wins, overall, with close victories in the Four-stroke and Sportsman classes, but he missed a clean sweep as Matt Dice won in the Two-stroke feature.

Cassidy Heiser of York on his #67A Suzuki raced to wins in both the 65cc and 80cc classes. Among the youngest riders Tyler Stacey of Akron PA won in the 50cc Senior bikes and Dylan Winsett or Bainbridge won the 50cc Shaft-driven feature.

Motorcycles and four-wheelers return to Path Valley Saturday night, August 8, for double track points in all regular classes. Next Saturday, July 24, the Strictly Stock junkyard cars return for their regular every-other-week features, and four-wheelers race every Saturday afternoon as part of the Burris Karting program at Path Valley.

The Path Valley Speedway Park is located in Spring Run PA a mile north on PA Route 641 from the intersection with PA Route 75, halfway between Port Royal and Hagerstown. It is five miles east from the Willow Hill Exit 14 of the PA Turnpike.
