Chase, the grandson of Pocono Raceway's owners, Doctors Joe and Rose Mattioli, is competing in the ARCA-RE/MAX series and is also co-driving with his cousin, Nick Igdalsky, on the KONI Grand Am Series. He made his Pocono ARCA debut at Pocono in 2008 in both the June and August events, leading laps in the August event after starting 20th and finishing 16th.

Last weekend, he competed in the Camping World East Series race at South Boston. Starting 22nd, Chase battled his way into the top ten. A top five victory seemed almost certain until he was knocked out of the race after being clipped by Ryan Truex, causing unrepairable to his suspension. Even though his race at South Boston didn’t turn out the way he had expected, Chase is encouraged by what he and his team were able to accomplish. “Next week is the one, I feel it” Chase said after the race. Competing in this week’s ARCA-RE/MAX 200 at Pocono Raceway, Chase is looking to secure a victory at the very track where he grew up.

Following the ARCA-RE/MAX 200 at Pocono Raceway this Saturday, June 6th, Chase will be competing in the ACRA-RE/MAX Racing For Wild Life 200 at Michigan Int. Speedway, MI (June 12th) and a KONI Grand Am race at Mid Ohio, OH (June 21st).
