Wednesday, October 24, 2012 VanDoorn and Kenseth Claim ARCA/CRA Super Series Harris Products Group Season Lap Leader Awards

SALEM, Ind. -- ARCA/CRA Super Series Champion John VanDoorn and Winchester 400 winner Ross Kenseth have won the 2012 Harris Products Group Season Lap Leader Awards with the ARCA/CRA Super Series for the 2012 season. VanDoorn was the award winner in the Harris Products Group Season Lap Leader Award in the regular 100/125-lap series point’s events for the 2012 season. VanDoorn led a total of 455 laps in the 100/125-lap series point’s events on his way to a series leading four wins and claiming his third series Championship. Fellow three time series Champion Scott Hantz was second with 94 laps lead in the 100/125-lap series events while collecting two wins this season. Georgia Hot Shoe T.J. Reaid finished in third with 91 laps lead in claiming the series season opener at Anderson Speedway. Kenseth was the award winner for the Harris Products Group Season Lap Leader Award in the special event extra distance races, which included SpeedFest 2012, the Rowdy 251, the Redbud 300 and the Winchester 400. Kenseth lead a total of 184 laps in getting wins in the Redbud 300 and the Winchester 400. ARCA/CRA Super Series regular Terry Fisher Jr. was second with 162 laps lead, all of those were in the RedBud 300 at Anderson Speedway. Oklahoma racer Donnie Wilson was in third with 147 laps lead, all of those were in the Winchester 400. The Harris Products Group will award John VanDoorn and Ross Kenseth with a set of the Harris Products Group Cutting Torches. Both awards will be presented at the 2012 Champion Racing Association Awards Banquet.
