Wednesday, August 8, 2012 Norway Speedway is the Next Stop on the Three States in Three Weeks Tour

Tuesday, August 7, 2012 The ASA Midwest Tour presented SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings will be making their first visit to Norway Speedway after a nearly two-year hiatus on Saturday, August 11 for the Norway 100 presented by DOC360. The last time they competed at the third-mile oval in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, local hero Jamie Iverson picked up his fourth consecutive ASAMT win there. Iverson, along with Norway's very own Kris Kelly and the weekly competitors are looking forward to challenging the ASAMT this Saturday night. As they head into the second half of the season, ECHO and ECHO Bear Cat Touring Star, Jonathan Eilen continues to hold his point lead over fellow Touring Stars Chris Wimmer and Chris Weinkauf. The Rookies of the Year also continue to shine. Matt Tifft leads the Rookies with 906 points followed by Jason Weinkauf with 857 and Cardell Potter with 847. Log on to asamidwesttour.com for complete point standings. After this Saturday's event, the ASA Midwest Tour will then make their first of two visits to Elko Speedway in Elko, MN on August 17. They will then get a well-deserved break before heading to Iowa Speedway on Friday, September 14. Be sure to follow the ASA Midwest Tour on Facebook (asamidwesttour) and Twitter (@asamidwesttour).
