CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- Hyped as one of the biggest national racing events of the year, and certainly K-C's banner event for sprint cars, "The Ohio Challenge" featuring the "World of Outlaw" sprints and "The All-Star Circuit of Champions" sprint cars has been set for May 14 at Chillicothe, Ohio's K-C Raceway.

Track owner/promoter Jim Nier Said, "As soon as we announced this race, the phone started ringing off the hook. Drivers, race teams, and fans have wanted to know the details. This race has certainly generated some excitement around here. As a promoter, I am excited to have the World of Outlaws and All-Stars on the same racing card. We have promoted several big races at K-C, but this one may be the biggest race so far. It is going to be a huge event."

Boundless Motorsports, who purchased the World of Outlaws last season will bring their guaranteed posse of drivers, dubbed by the series as the "Mean 15". Members of the "Mean 15" are Craig Dollansky, 19-time champion Steve Kinser and son Kraig Kinser, Californian Tim Kaeding, Mark Kinser, cousin to the reigning champion Steve Kinser; Danny Lasoski, Paul McMahan, Jason Meyers, Brian Paulus, Daryn Pittman, Joey Saldana, Donny Schatz, Tim Shaffer, Jason Sides, and Brandon Wimmer.

The World of Outlaws Sprint Series has represented the best of dirt track sprint car racing since 1978. This season will be no different.

But the All-Star Circuit of Champions my dispute the Outlaws claim. Now in their 26th season of competition, the "Haulmark.com" All Star Circuit of Champions is one of the most competitive dirt track sprint car racing series in the country. Over the past 26 seasons, 1332 races have been run with 146 different drivers making appearances in victory lane.

The "Best of Both Worlds" in open wheel sprint car racing will go head for the first in Ohio on the K-C high banks.

Jim Nier's K-C Raceway is located 12 miles south of Chillicothe OH on US Route 23 to Alma, OH, the west two miles on Blain Highway.
