POWAY, Calif. -- Bilstein Shocks expands its IMCA contingency award program again this season, adding Hobby Stocks to the mix. Modified and Stock Car drivers also are in line to receive product certificates from the Poway, Calif., company. The addition of the Hobby Stock contingencies puts Bilsteinšs total IMCA package at more than $7,000.

The top eligible driver in each of the five regions for Modifieds will earn a $350 product certificate, with $250 for second, $200 for third, $150 for fourth and $100 for fifth.

Product certificates of $350, $250 and $150 will be awarded to the top three eligible drivers in both Stock Car re-gions, with the same payout to the top three in the national Hobby Stock ranks. Tracks in a dozen states will feature IMCA Hobby Stocks this season, including first-time sanctions in Alabama and Idaho.

Drivers in all three divisions are required to compete with four Bilstein-manufactured shocks, compete with two Bil-stein decals on their race car and return a sign-up form to the IMCA home office by Aug. 1.

That form is included in the packet drivers receive after applying for their 2006 IMCA license. Bilstein introduced Stock Car contingencies in 2004 and added awards to two more drivers in each Modified region last season.

Information about Bilstein shocks is available by calling 800 537-1085, or at the www.bilstein.com website. 'We have had great interest from our Hobby Stock members in a program with Bilstein modeled after our Stock Car and Modified awards and this year we have that in place,' IMCA Marketing Directory Kevin Yoder noted. 'Hobby Stock members with Bilstein shocks will have to return their sign-up for to make themselves eligible.'
