“Driver of the Week” honors went to IMCA Modified driver Justin Brandt. Justin has been at the Speedway every week this season and was sixth in points going into the nights competition. Congratulations to Justin Brandt.

The points chase in the Awards Plus Happy Hornets got even closer as Joey Platt took the lead on lap three of their A-feature and continued for the win. Darrell Fieldgrove finished in second as current points leader Erik Nelson finished third leaving him with a one point lead in the chase. Katie Renschler finished in fourth.

Caleb Hetrick took the lead in the IMCA Hobby Stock A-feature and led until lap six. Kyle Bond took control at that point in the race and continued for win number nine for the season. Jimmy Pearce grabbed the early lead in the IMCA Modified A-feature. Tyler Iverson took the lead on lap three. Iverson and Wade Cross battle long and hard for the front position but Cross outlasted the battle taking a decisive lead for the final five laps getting win number eight for the season at the speedway.
