Thursday, March 10, 2005 Rockford readies for 28th Annual Spring Classic

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The 58th season of racing at Rockford Speedway will begin on April 2-3 with the 28th Annual Spring Classic.
The pits are scheduled to open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 2nd. Practice will begin at noon. The front gate will officially open at 4:30 p.m. with qualifying at 5 p.m. This will include qualifying for the NASCAR Autozone Midwest Series, Big 8 and Mid-American Series. The first race will begin at 7:07 p.m. The racing program for Saturday night will include: Mid-American heats, Big 8 Limited Late Models heats, Big 8 last chance race, and the highlight of the evening will be a 58-lap feature for the Big 8 Limited Late Model Series. Tickets for Saturday night’s program are: Adult Reserved $15, Child Reserved $7.50, Adult General Admission $15, Child (6-11) General Admission $5. Pit passes are $25.
On Sunday, April 3rd, the pits will open at 7:00 a.m. The on-track fan photo session will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the first race starting at 1:00 p.m. The racing program will include: Northern Late Model heats, Mid-American 50-lap feature, Northern Late Model last chance race, NASCAR Autozone Midwest Series 150-lap feature and a Northern Late Model 58-lap feature. Tickets for Sunday afternoon’s program are: Adult Reserved $20, Child Reserved $10, Adult General Admission $20, and Child (6-11) General Admission is $5.00. Pit passes are $30.
Also, Rockford Speedway will be opened for practice on Saturday, March 26th from noon-4 p.m. for the NASCAR Autozone Midwest Series and Mid-American Series cars. Pit passes for that day are $10.
