Wednesday, March 17, 2010 Waltrip, Stremme to Race at Bristol
 by Amanda Vincent, MTR Media
Heading into 2010, Michael Waltrip only had plans to compete as a driver at Daytona and possibly Talladega. Add Sunday's Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway to the list.
Waltrip will be among the 45 drivers who are expected to make qualifying runs for this weekend's Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol. He'll be behind the wheel of the familiar No. 55, but it won't be a Michael Waltrip Racing entry. Instead, he'll be driving for Prism Motorsports.
Also finding a ride for the Food City 500 is David Stremme. Stremme, who found himself without a Cup ride after being replaced by Brad Keselowski in the No. 12 car before the end of the 2009 season, will replace Boris Said behind the wheel of the No. 26 car of Latitude 43 Motorsports.
Stremme is guaranteed a spot in Sunday's race. Still going off last year's owner points, Latitude 43 is utilizing the points that was part of the assets it purchased from Roush Fenway Racing's former No. 26 team. Waltrip, on the other hand, will have to race his way in.
Qualifying for the Food City 500 will air live on SPEED at 3:30 p.m. ET Friday. The race can be seen live on FOX at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
