DONIPHAN, Neb. (May 25, 2002) - Eager race fans packed in to watch the excitement as the NCRA Late Models and Street Stock registerd for an action packed night of racing at Mid-Nebr Speedway.

Jim Buss won the first of four Street Stock heat races followed by Greg Gimpel, Bob Lawson and Randy Weaver. Mike Ehlers controlled the second heat race from start to finish. Mike Shriver took second as Brandon Hassler pulled out with two laps to go. Jarrod Hackler was third and Gary Grone fourth. Scott Wilder led the first five laps of heat race number three but Jay Blakemore took control for the final three laps and the win. Wilder was second, Mike Starr third and Jerry Barribo Jr. fourth. Herb Slough led the way in the fourth heat race as Jason Davis managed to move into second plance on the final lap. Bryon Boersen finished third and Aaron Schweitzer fourth.

Joe Kosiski controlled the first NCRA Late Model heat leading from start to finish. Jason Friesen was second with Alan Vaughn third and Gary Corby fourth. David Turner was fast in the second heat race. Turner took the win as he held off Kyle Berck all the way to the finish line. Delbert Smith finished third and Davey Nall fourth. Jason Humphrey took advantage of his outside starting position and led the distance in heat race number three. Donnie McClellan was second followed by Al Humphrey and Jason Bodenhamer.

Jim Buss drew the outside front row for the trophy dash and used it to capture another trophy dash win in the Street Stocks.

The first Street Stock B feature found Jerron Suck in the lead until the final three laps when Mel Franz managed to pass Suck and allow Franz a starting position in the back of the A feature. Lonnie Gureter took second with Brnadon Hassler third and Paul Lomasney fourth. Jason Ensinger was determined to take the final transfer position as he led the entire distance in the second Street Stock B feature. Joe Lavene finished second with Larry Iiams third and Richard Fegter fourth.

The B feature in the NCRA Late models saw Vic Lovejoy take control on the third lap and continue for the win. Tony Gregg was second, Kris Kraatzner third and Eddie Tidwell fourth.

Jerry Barribo Jr. led the first four laps of the twenty five lap Street Stock A feature before Herb Slough moved into take control of the race. Slough continued to lead until lap number eleven when Jason Davis moved to the front position. Davis continued his lead until there were three laps left to run and Davis lost an engine. Mike Ehlers ended up with the win as Mike Shriver took second, Herb Slough thrid and Jerry Barribo Jr. fourth.

David Turner jumped into the lead of the NCRA Late Model A feature as Joe Kosiski followed in second place. Turner was starting to stretch his lead and then developed mechanical problems after four laps and had to pit. Kyle Berck took control of the race and never looked back as he lapped cars before the half way point in the thirty lap feature. Joe Kosiski held on for second as Jason Friesen took third and Davey Nall fourth.
