D1 Midgets at Kalamazoo Saturday; O’Gara Takes 30-Lap Morris Main Event

INDIANAPOLIS -- The USAC/STARS Mopar D1 Midgets continue their competitive racing season this Saturday at Kalamazoo (Mich.) Speedway as part of a Kalamazoo “tripleheader” which includes the Midwest Ignite Midgets on the big oval and the USAC Mopar .25 Midgets in a “Generation Next” event on the track’s small oval.

Jim Anderson of Joliet, Ill. takes a 92-point lead over Patrick Wilda Jr. into the Kalamazoo program. Anderson was fourth and Wilda 18th in Saturday’s race at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill.

Kyle O’Gara of Beech Grove, Ind. won Saturday’s Morris feature, leading the last 17 laps to beat fast qualifier Aaron Andruskevich, James Robertson, Anderson and Austin Prock. Robertson led the first 13 laps.
