MILLER, S.D. -- It was a humid, but thankfully windy night at the Miller Speedway. Thirty-four cars were on hand.

The feature action started off with the Clark Pump N Pak UCARs. Bowdry Morris led off of the outside front row, but old pro Mike Hammill got by on the second lap and ran away with the win, followed by Gary Peterman, Curt Manning, Tre Blasdell and Morris. It was his second feature win in the UCAR division. Before the end of the night Gary Peterman's son Dylan made an appearance, surprising his parents with a two week leave from duty in Afganistan. Gary himself has done a tour overseas with the National Guard in the past.

Next up where the WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds. Kyle Gross took the early lead until Britt Williams passed him on the inside and took the lead on the fifth lap. Williams held off The Dirt Doctor Lorin Johnson on a last restart to claim his first MW Modified victory and his first feature win at Miller Speedway since May 26, 1979. Johnson, Adam Brotherton, Jim Danburg and Brian Bachmann rounded out the top 5.

The WISSOTA Street Stock feature was led early by Michael Hammill, but Bill Leimbach took the lead on the sixth lap and scored his first feature at Miller since 2006. Hammill hung onto second, followed by Blayne Baloun, Jeff Rawstern, and Tyler Lamb. It was Leimbach's third feature win.

The finale was the WISSOTA Super Stock feature. Cole Searing took the lead on the start, but Lorin Johnson slowly reeled him in. But when he got there he had nothing for the leader, but as Searing was coming out of turn 4, his distributor failed and Johnson went by to win his 26th Super Stock feature, followed by Dustin Arthur, David Carlson, Searing and Josh Sterrett.

Next week's races will be sponsored by Wilbur-Ellis. And let's not forget, the WISSOTA Modifieds are coming on August 10. Races will continue every Friday night through August 24.
