ST. CATHARINES, Ontario -- Bruce Thompson of the CanAm Super Stock Series and Nancy Bicknell of Bicknell Racing Products are proud to announce that Bicknell Racing Products has become the title sponsor of the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series.

Bicknell Racing Products [BRP] is headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario with warehouse and sales operations in Niagara Falls, NY and Thomasville, NC. BRP’s in -house operations plus a network of 20 dealers in the northeastern United States, Ontario, and Quebec provide race car builders and race teams with a comprehensive availability of racing components, accessories, and supplies.

“We are most recognized for our work with open wheel dirt modifieds, but the components that we manufacture or warehouse are used on all types of race cars including the CanAm [now BRP CanAm] Super Stocks,” states Pete Bicknell, founder and president of Bicknell Racing Products. “We are delighted to provide some financial help to these Super Stock teams through the BRP CanAm Super Stock Series point fund. We sure hope they buy product from us or our dealers, but that is not a requirement. No, we are not about to get into the late model / super stock chassis business; we have all the chassis business we can handle with our dirt modified business. We will let Shaw, GRT, Rocket and those guys do the late models while we concentrate on our core businesses.”

Bruce Thompson, the Canadian businessman who is a co–director, along with Gary Montgomery and Dennis Shutt, of the highly successful BRP CanAm Super Stock Series, is very excited that the Canadian based Bicknell operation has joined as title sponsor of the Series.

“We are finalizing our 2004 schedule; however, two of the events currently locked in are at Merrittville Speedway just down the road in Thorold, a track owned and operated by the Bicknells and their business partners, the Williamsons,” relates Thompson. “We are very excited about adding a new track to the Series. What a perfect fit with Merrittville Speedway and the Bicknell and Williamson families! Of course, we will be going back to Gasport [International Speedway] as well.”

The current tentative 2004 BRP CanAm Super Stock Series schedule includes thirteen events, up from nine in 2003. The final schedule will be released in early December.
