DELEVAN, N.Y. -- This is a PLUS! Freedom Raceway will host Round Seven of the CanAm Super Stock Series this Friday (August 29) as part of its five division Signs Plus - Trailers Plus Night program. Freedom regular Doug Ricotta will be coming off a spectacular come from behind victory in Round Five at Genesee Speedway on August 16. Doug is currently ranked third in the Series point standings. Bob Dixon is still the Series points race leader with just three rounds remaining on the nine race CanAm schedule. A stop at Ransomville Speedway is set for Saturday, September 13. Over three thousand dollars in point fund money and other contingencies await the Series point champion to be crowned at Little Valley Speedway on September 20. CanAm Series spokesperson Bruce Thompson reports that to date 75 different drivers have taken part in Series events. The highest car count has been at Genesee Speedway, where 50 teams participated. That record could be broken this Friday at Freedom.
