by Bill Stephens

Top Fuel champion Doug Herbert has spent his entire life around speed and performance. As a four-time IHRA Top Fuel champion and ten-time NHRA national event winner, Herbert brings a wealth of drag racing experience, insights, and observations to “The Straightline”, every Wednesday at 12 Noon, ET.

Herbert is joined by veteran MRN analyst, Marty Hough, whose own connection with major league motorsports dates back over 25 years.

“The Straightline” covers NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing in a fresh and forthright program featuring interviews with recent winners from NHRA national events and other drag racing newsmakers whose accomplishments and exploits give fans a closeup look at the world’s fastest motorsport.

“This is a show I’ve always wanted to do,” says Herbert, who continues to be active in the NHRA’s Top Fuel category, competing in his B.R.A.K.E.S. Top Fuel dragster. “Marty and I like to get the inside story on what’s really happening on the NHRA trail and having the sport’s biggest stars join us on ‘The Straightline’ allows them to share their thoughts and first-person experiences with NHRA fans in their own words.”

“I’ve always been a huge fan of NHRA drag racing,” says Hough, whose radio career began back in the 1980’s in Portland, Oregon. “Doing this show is every drag racing fan’s dream. I’m working with a four-time Top Fuel champion and getting the chance to interview the NHRA’s most exciting personalities, from drivers to crew chiefs to team owners. Doug and I can’t wait until Wednesday to fire up the next episode of ‘The Straightline’.”
