Wednesday, July 11, 2012 Eyeblack Partners with NASCAR Development Driver Bobby Runyan Jr.

ROCKVILLE, Md. -- EyeBlack, the company that started a sports revolution by combining logos, phrases and bible verses with EyeBlack, today announced they have partnered with up and coming racecar driver, Bobby Runyan Jr. The sponsorship will expand EyeBlack’s presence in the professional motorsports industry.
EyeBlack is providing Bobby Runyan Jr. with customized products which will reduce glare from the sun, assisting visibility and increasing safety for drivers that are competing at high speeds. In addition to improving safety, the custom EyeBlack will give Runyan a distinct style within his racing circuit throughout the United States. EyeBlack will produce several variations of the product using Runyan’s likeness and brand.

Bobby Runyan Jr. got his start at the age of 13 racing go karts. Within his first year, Runyan won two National Championships. Runyan competed in go karts across the country and by the end of his second year, was chosen to participate in Ron Sutton’s Winner’s Circle, a NASCAR driver development team. In 2009, Runyan first competed in Formula Ford’s, eventually being named Rookie of the Year and earning his first championship in that first year.
Since then, Runyan has been successfully competing and racing bigger automobiles. 2012 brings much excitement for the up and coming driving sensation, he has signed with Richard Childress’ Driver Development Team of Golden Gate Racing out of San Francisco. Runyan will be running Late Model’s with Steve Portenga as his Crew Chief, and testing in a K&N West car multiple times this season.
