Super Seven, Plus Bike Races on American Cancer Society Night at Mercer Raceway Park

MERCER, Pa. -- The American Racing Drivers Club will bring their potent Midgets to Mercer Raceway Park on Saturday, August 11, for their final appearance of the 2012 season. They will be joined by all six of the track's regular classes for a night brimming with racing excitement. In addition, the children will get to compete in bicycle races on the frontstretch. And, the track will honor cancer survivors and provide them with free admission on American Cancer Society Night! All of this is courtesy of Ray's Racing Collectibles and Approved Toilet Rentals.

Back in July, Steve Drevicki scored his first win of the season in a thriller that included a wild three-wide battle for the lead in the closing laps. But young Alex Bright is the most recent winner with the nation's oldest touring series, and he'll be looking to get the double. Can Mercer's own Brandon Matus improve upon his top ten run? It was an impressive start for one of the region's emerging Sprint Car talents, but there will be a host of other open wheel stars who will try to keep him in check.

In addition to the small car assault, there will be full point competition for the regular classes. So, fans will get to see the Luxaire Heating & Cooling Sprint Cars, the Ti22 Performance Outlaw Sprint Warriors, the Appproved Toilet Rentals 358 Modifieds, the Precise Racing Products Stock Cars, the Big Daddy's Speed Center/Rock Concrete Modified Lites and the Mini Stocks.

Remember that all children must have helmets to be able to participate in the bicycle races.
Special event ticket pricing will be in effect for this show. That means that adults will pay just $15 for all that racing excitement! Seniors will be admitted for $13 and students for $7. Children ages 8 and under are free, as usual. The economical Family Pass will cost $32, which will admit two adults and up to four minors. Pit Passes will be the usual $25.

If you cannot make it this weekend, mark your calendars for Smackdown! On August 18, it will be the annual battle between Mercer's 358 Modifieds and the Big Blocks of the BRP/Hoosier Tire Modified Tour.
