LINCOLN, Ill. -- Danny Stratton won the 30-lap POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget and Stark Automotive Group/Mid-State Equipment Badger Midget Series co-sanctioned feature, Friday Night at Lincoln Speedway. The victory was the second straight at the facility for the Riverside, Calif. driver who also won the POWRi/Badger event on April 22, 2006.

Shane Hollingsworth took the lead at the start pacing the initial four circuits, before Tyler Thomas took over the top position. Thomas was then closely followed by Stratton. With six laps remaining while leading Thomas suffered engine problems bringing out the events fifth caution flag. On the restart Stratton driving the Hans Lein owned Spike/Ford-Esslinger No. 2 pulled away from the field and finished six car lengths ahead of Colton Cottle. Bubba Altig, Andrew Felker and Dillion Welch completed the top five.

"We were hooked up, I cant say enough about the team they gave me what I wanted" said Stratton.The victory moved Stratton atop the Badger Midget point standings by one marker over Altig heading into the June 23 event at Macon (Ill.) Raceway.
