LAKE ODESSA, Mich. -- Just as he did a year earlier, Jacob Poel of Spring Lake, Mich., drove to victory Sunday night at I-96 Speedway claiming the second DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals victory of his career worth $750.

Poel started ninth on the grid and worked his way to the front taking the lead from David Mielke of Gladwin, Mich., near the midpoint of the 30-lap main event. Eleventh starter Andy Sprague of Muskegon, Mich., finished second. Zack Olger of St. Johns, Mich., who won a make-up feature earlier in the evening finished third. Third starter Tim Stemler of Portland, Mich., and Aaron Morey of West Olive, Mich., rounded out the top five.

The DIRTcar Summit Racing Equipment Modified Nationals returns to action Tuesday night at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Ind., where Mike Harrison of Highland, Ill., won his third of eight Summit Modified Nationals events in 2011.
