Fast & Fun Facts:

· RAB Racing with Brack Maggard announced last week that John Wes Townley, driver of the No. 09 Ford in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and sponsor, Zaxby’s, will be moving on following the conclusion of the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season. Townley and Zaxby’s have not made an announcement on where the 19-year-old rookie is headed but as for RAB Racing, “We are currently entertaining other opportunities for 2010 as we would like to remain a fulltime competitor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series,” stated Robby Benton, RAB Racing’s Co-Owner/General Manager.

This Week’s No. 09 Zaxby’s Ford: John Wes Townley will pilot chassis No. 032 in the O’Reilly Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend. This chassis has raced six times in 2009, most recently at Auto Club Speedway in October where the Raybestos Rookie finished 17th.

John Wes Townley at Texas: Townley has one start at Texas Motor Speedway, starting 29th and finishing 36th in the April 2009 O’Reilly 300.

Season Review: After 32 of the 35 scheduled events on the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule, John Wes Townley has 23 starts including one top-10 and five top-15. The Watkinsville, GA native also has five top-20 and nine top-25 finishes.

Points Check: Following a 40th place finish at Memphis Motorsports Park due to an expired engine, Townley sits 24th in the 2009 driver point standings and the No. 09 entry remains 32nd in the championship owner point standings with 2,142 points; 486 points outside the top-30.

Rookie Race: Townley currently remains 7th in the 2009 Raybestos Rookie of the year battle.

NNS Food Drive: The Thanksgiving holiday is quickly approaching and it’s time for a reflection of what we are thankful for. With that being said, there are several families that are in need of food, so the NASCAR Nationwide Series PR Rep Task Force is hosting a non-perishable Food Drive for a couple of organizations that help families in need. To donate please contact Jessica Caulder at JCaulder@teamrab.com or you can drop off donations at the RAB Racing shop (4200 Stough Rd. Concord, NC 28027).
