CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- In honor of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win Sunday, Charlotte Motor Speedway is offering fans an exciting chance to see the No. 88 battle against NASCAR’s best in the only Saturday night race in the Chase for the Sprint Cup Championship. Now through Sunday, fans can purchase two select frontstretch tickets to the Bank of America 500, on Oct. 13, for just $88. Frontstretch tickets include the best view of pit road and the world’s largest HDTV, and fans can come early to take advantage of a full day of pre-race entertainment and activities.

“Dale Junior and the No. 88 Hendrick team have worked so hard and been so close to this win for a long time. This is a satisfying week for the legions of fans that have stuck with him in hopes of a return to Victory Lane,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “This win and his performance all season show he’s hungry for a title. Earnhardt has positioned himself well to make a major impact in the Chase when the Sprint Cup Series returns to Charlotte. I know he’d want nothing better than to win the Bank of America 500 at his home track.”

With Sunday’s win, Earnhardt moved into second place overall in the Sprint Cup Points standings, trailing Matt Kethseth by just four points. The top 10 drivers in the points standings through 26 races will automatically make the Chase for the Sprint Cup, a 10-race shootout to determine the season’s champion. Two wildcard spots in the Chase for the Sprint Cup will be determined based on which two drivers from 11th to 20th place in points have the most wins after 26 races.

In 12 career starts in the Bank of America 500, Earnhardt has scored five top 10 finishes, including three top fives. Earlier this year, he won the Sprint Showdown to advance to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race, where he finished fifth. Earnhardt also finished sixth in this year’s Coca-Cola 600.

By virtue of his win Sunday, Earnhardt is also locked into a spot in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Tickets for the Bank of America 500 are available by calling the Charlotte Motor Speedway ticket office at 1-800-455-FANS (3267) or online at www.charlottemotorspeedway.com.
