Friday, July 13, 2012 BMS Officials Announce More Choices for Race Fans’ Trip in August

BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Additional options are available for campers coming to Bristol Motor Speedway in August as officials continue to find ways to attack the challenges of coming to the IRWIN Tools Night Race events. Speedway officials secured property for approximately 250 additional low-cost camping spaces to help in the financial challenge of traveling. “There are key components to what we refer to as the Bristol Experience, one of the biggest of which is camping,” said track General Manager Jerry Caldwell. “Lodging continues to be a stumbling block for our fans and we work diligently to alleviate the obstacles.” The additional camping options are nearly 150 tent-camping spots for only $50 for the week of the IRWIN Tools Night race and more than 100 non-hook-up RV parking (shower house included) for only $99 for the week. Fans interested in any of these options may call (423) 989-6944. August race week at BMS kicks off Aug. 22 with a doubleheader, the Volunteer 200 Camping World Truck Series race and the UNOH Perfect Storm 150 Whelen Modified event. On tap Aug. 24 is the Food City 250 Nationwide Series race, followed by the IRWIN Tools Night Race Sprint Cup event Aug. 25.
