Results from Mid-Nebraska Speedway

DONIPHAN, Nebr. -- Mid-Nebraska Speedway hosted the NCRA Sprint Cars along with their regular weekly show Saturday night as it was the Annual Chief Industries night at the speedway. Denton Duncan took the first checkered flag of the night after leading the first of two Grand National heat races from start to finish. Les Siebert took second place as Robby Leonard and Jarred Hackler rounded out the field. Tom Kubicka led the first two laps in heat number two but lost control and spun. Josh Leonard won the race followed by Jake Neighbors, Brandon Leonard and Lester Duncan.

Cole Osborn led lap number one in the IMCA Modified first heat. Jared Hoefelman moved from last to first for the lead on lap two and continued for the win with Osborn second. Tyler Iverson was third and fourth went to Matthew Kiner. Wade Cross took the lead from Bob Lawson on the second lap of heat number two. Cross continued for the win as Bob Lawson, Brian Levander and Jason Brinkman rounded out the field.

IMCA Hobby Stock driver Caleb Hetrick used his outside front row starting position to take the lead in heat number one and continued for the win. Jim Buss was second with Russ Specht and Jamie Porterfield rounding out the top four. Tyler Andreasen led the second heat from start to finish. Kyle Bond finished second as Michael Zerr and Zack Gimpel rounded out the top four.

Tyler Barribo controlled the first of two heat races in the Awards Plus Jr. Hornet division. Joey Platt was second, Jordan Lawhorne third and Michael Boehle fourth. Darrell Fieldgrove won the second heat as Steven Hanna was second. Erik Nelson finished in third and Alex Rodewald took fourth.

Jon Freeman of Salina won the first of two NCRA sprint heat after taking the lead from Ryan Roberts. Zach Blurton of Jetmore OK finished in second followed by Jordon Boston and Jason Danley. Adam Gullion of Lincoln won the second heat race. CJ Johnson was second with Jeremy Campbell third and Bryon Gossell fourth.

“Driver of the Week” honors went to Jimmy Pearce. Pearce was third in the points standings going into the nights races. Congratulations to Jimmy Pearce.

Darrell Fieldgrove won the Awards Plus Happy Hornet feature after leading the entire race. Tyler Barribo finished in second with Joey Platt and Michael Boehle rounding out the top four.

Ethan Kenney led the first four laps in the IMCA Hobby Stock feature before Kyle Bond took control and got win number ten for the year. Kenney finished in second followed by Jake Pemberton and Tyler Andreasen.

The IMCA Modified A-feature was action packed as Cale Osborn took the early lead. Wade Cross took the lead on lap five and continued for the win. Osborn continued in second place until the final lap as Jared Hoefelman moved up through the field for second. Osborn finished in third and fourth went to Tyler Iverson. One driver was disqualified for speeding and wreckless driving in the pits following the feature.

Denton Duncal led the first five laps in the Grand National Late Model feature. Jarred Hackler took the lead at that point. Hackler won the race with Josh Leonard in a close second. Denton Duncan finished third and fourth went to Tom Kubicka.

NCRA Sprint driver Adam Gullion of Lincoln took the lead as their A-feature began. Gullion managed to keep his lead and increase the distance for the win. Zack Blurton finished in second as CJ Johnson was third and fourth went to Patrica Stasa.
