Wilda Leads USAC/STARS D1S Back to Morris June 30; Kody Swanson Scores Grundy County Win

INDIANAPOLIS -- Patrick Wilda of Minooka, Ill. sits atop the 2012 USAC/STARS D1 Midget Series standings after finishing second to Kody Swanson in last Saturday night’s race at Grundy County Speedway in Morris, Ill.
Wilda led the first 17 laps of the race before yielding to fast qualifier Swanson, who led the rest of the way in his Wilke-Pak Racers entry.
Swanson and Wilda were trailed by Brad Greenup, David Byrne and Jimmy Simpson at the checkered flag.
Wilda has a slim two-point lead over Jim Anderson, who won the series opener. Anderson finished sixth Saturday.
