INDIANAPOLIS -- National Transportation Consultants, Inc. (NTCI), a leader in transportation safety consulting, has announced the renewal of its partnership with Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) as the team’s official DOT consulting firm. As part of the associate partnership, the six-car TSR team will utilize NTCI’s services to maintain and continue to build on the team’s commitment to safe transportation as it travels the United States and Canada to compete at more than 80 different racetracks.

“NTCI is extremely pleased to be partnering with TSR again for the 2012 season. TSR’s commitment to establishing and maintaining a DOT safety and compliance program shows a strong commitment to safe driving,” said Joe Morrison, founder and CEO of NTCI. “NTCI looks forward to continuing to work with other World of Outlaws and USAC teams in developing the same type of DOT safety and compliance programs. TSR’s proactive approaches to DOT safety and compliance makes TSR continue to be a leader in the world of safety.”

The announcement comes just as the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) is ready to begin this year’s 72-hour Roadcheck. Scheduled to run from June 5 to 7, inspectors will be at more than 1,500 locations across North America. This year’s focus will be on vehicle brake systems and preventing driver fatigue by conducting hours-of-service compliance checks according to CVSA, which represents law enforcement personnel who conduct truck safety inspections in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The Maryland State Police will host the Roadcheck kickoff event to underscore the importance of comprehensive driver and vehicle safety inspections of trucks and buses and on enforcing safety belt use.

For the 2012 racing season, the World of Outlaws (WoO) Sprint Car Series entries of Steve Kinser and Donny Schatz, as well as the team’s USAC National Sprint and Silver Crown Series cars driven by Levi Jones and Bobby East, will carry the NTCI logo. TSR’s DOT program has expanded in recent years with the team’s expansion, and the importance of safe transportation has become a top priority.

“NTCI offers a great program that helps Tony Stewart Racing keep our teams up to date on DOT safety and new compliance regulations,” said team owner Tony Stewart. “We’re very proud to expand our partnership with NTCI this season, and we’re looking forward to maintaining our transportation program at the highest level.”

Noblesville, Ind.-based NTCI is no stranger to the sport of auto racing, as the company continues to build its reputation as one of the most reputable DOT safety consulting firms in the country. In addition to having worked with TSR as a consultant on the team’s DOT program since 2008, NTCI has also offered attendees and exhibitors of the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) in Indianapolis the opportunity to attend a DOT conference during the three-day trade show for hardcore motorsports enthusiasts. NTCI has also worked with teams in the NHRA, IndyCar, Dirt Late Model, WKA and KRA Series.
