Saturday, June 16, 2012 Kinser, Swindell Take Outlaws Wins in North Dakota
 by Lee Elder
AKRON, Ohio -- Kraig Kinser and Sammy Swindell each won a race as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series broadslided its way through North Dakota.
The tour’s stops at River Cities Speedway and Red River Valley Speedway are popular draws as both events drew near sell-out crowds.
Goodyear is the Official Tire Company of the Outlaws sprint car program and every team in the series races on Goodyear Eagles. The line of bias-ply tires Goodyear supplies the WoO competitors is also used by other touring winged sprint car series and by many competitors in weekly racing programs at tracks around the country.
Kinser passed his father, 20-time WoO champion Steve Kinser, with six laps remaining in the Dual in the Dakotas at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. The elder Kinser finished second and said later he was surprised when he was passed because he thought he had the field covered. Craig Dollansky took third, followed by Donny Schatz and Lucas Wolfe.
Swindell’s win at Red River Valley Speedway in West Fargo came on a night when he led the first eight laps of the 30-lap feature and the last eight laps. Chad Kemenah took second, followed by Schatz, Jason Sides and Kraig Kinser.
Schatz leads the standings with 3,944 points. Steve Kinser (3,925) and Swindell (3,920) are next.
