DODGE CITY, Kan. -- Two full nights of World of Outlaws racing action at Dodge City Raceway Park fires off tonight with night one of the Boot Hill Showdown atop the 3/8-mile clay oval in Dodge City, KS. The WoO Boot Hill Showdown then concludes on Saturday night, with nights of racing action going green at 7:30 p.m.

Four-time WoO champ Donny Schatz of North Dakota leads the way into the weekend in a hotly-contested championship battle with Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, Craig Dollansky and Joey Saldana all within 100 points of the top spot. Twenty-time WoO king Kinser is just 19 points out of the lead with Swindell 24 points off the lead pace.

A pair of number seven’s reached victory lane at Dodge City Raceway Park last year with Dollansky and Jason Sides taking Boot Hill Showdown triumphs.

IMCA Modifieds and Thunder Cars will be in action as well tonight, with IMCA Modifieds and IMCA Stock Cars filling out Saturday night’s card.

Single day tickets are available at the gate at $40 for reserved seats and $35 for general admission. Will call advance tickets may be picked up at the track office beginning at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday and then 9:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Pit passes are available for $45 per night. Local classes (Modifieds, Thunder Cars and Stocks) may purchase up to five pit passes per car at $30.

Pit gates open on both Friday and Saturday at 3:00 p.m., with front gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Hot laps are set for 6:45 p.m., with World of Outlaws qualifying at 7:30 p.m. and racing to follow immediately after.

Dodge City Raceway Park presents 16 nights of racing over a dozen different weekends in 2012. In addition to the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, other special events include USAC Midgets, USAC Sprint Cars, ASCS National Tour, NCRA Sprint Cars, URSS 305 Sprints and BST Modifieds.

In addition to the special events, Dodge City Raceway Park will crown champions in the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, Thunder Cars and Hornets.
