SCARBOROUGH, Maine -- While much of the North American continent struggles in the midst of a drought, Austin Theriault thrives in the rain.
Theriault won the rain-shortened American Canadian Tour late model stock car race at Beech Ridge Speedway by leading the race at the 112-lap mark when rain forced an early end to the event.
Goodyear is the exclusive tire provider for the ACT and its sister series in Canada, the Series ACT Castrol. In addition, weekly late model racing programs at tracks in the region that employ the ACT rulebook also use Goodyear tires.
The race at Beech Ridge attracted a field of 29 starters.
Theriault edged runner-up Jeff Taylor by an official margin of .218 of a second. Dave Farrington was third, followed by Glen Luce and Brian Hoar.
