INDIANAPOLIS -- The weekend racing exploits started with Fast Friday at the Bryant Heating and Cooling Indianapolis Speedrome. The eastside one-fifth mile paved short track continues in its eighth decade of tradition in providing the Hoosier capitol city's only weekly motorsports programming. One staple of the quick-paced evening event is the INEX Legend cars assembled in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fans can check out this division and many others each weekend at the Speedrome. The evening event launched with a pair of preliminary contests for the INEX individuals. Heat one saw track title contender John Robbins romp to victory over Eric Black and Tyler Payne. The second heat had open-wheel Modified convert Joe Thurman hoisting the checkered flag over Marty Griffin and Jon Watson. The feature got underway with Ohio ace Ty Rose sliding his #13 into the prime position once the green waved from the AT&T Advertising Solutions flag stand. The former INEX Bandolero standout and reigning Speedrome Fall Festival Legend champion was looking to bring full circle his year after a hard crash started 2012. And that is just what Ty did by going wire-to-wire for the triumph. Point leader Payne was the race runner-up with Griffin claiming third place at the finish.
