Rose Rocks Indy in Penultimate INEX Legend Main
The only out-of-state invader on hand Friday evening August 24th, Ohio's Ty Rose, would hoist a pair of checkered flags before returning down Interstate 74. He first landed in victory lane in hear competition over Aaron Holden and Chris Hacker. The second preliminary contest was captured by Tony Holden who bested Marty Griffin and Joe Thurman. Rose would bloom into first early on in the 25-lap feature. He withstood several early changers before young Aaron Holden reached second after starting from the tail. The two teenagers fronted the feisty field dueling the waning circuits of the race with Ty taking the top honors for the second time in 2012. Aaron would be trailed across the line by father and fellow track champion Tony.
Lady Greig Continues Her Historic Friday Campaign with a Win
The Circle City Pyrotechnics Junior Faskart Chase for the Cup championship is already one of the closest in recent history. It would get even tighter after the evenings completion. Heat one saw title contender Quentin White victorious over Brayde Harper and Cameron Wolfe. The second heat saw James Rybolt claiming checkers over Caitlyn Wolfe and Dustin Kares. The main event would see two of the fearsome title-leading foursome drivers head the final gladiators for first place. Rookie standings leader Kimmie Greig won the feature for a division best 5th of year. Harper would be the runner-up. The pair are now deadlocked atop the series points. Rybolt would round out the podium finishers.
Teepe Again a Winner in Fun First Junior Hornet Season
The hot and heavy competition continued on Friday evening August 24th in the Junior Hornet class. The spots in the standings are as close and the positions in the famed Speedrome race track. The next motorsports generation of stars initially hit the surface for preliminary action. Jacob Brown scorched that field for victory besting Layne Pulliam and Jordan Hahn. The main event had Layne lead the way early with the pack under close confines. As the circuits wound down, the eyes turned to point leader Teepe as he worked the outside groove. Andrew reached Pulliam and the pair respectfully went side-by-side for several laps. He finally cleared the leader and went on to win the feature. Pulliam was second with Hahn third.
