PMC Racing Set to Tackle Rally Racing

by Trent Beaver, PMC Racing

PARKER, Ariz. -- As PMC Racing prepares for its fall race schedule, they are going to try something they haven’t done in their 33 year history, compete in a rally sanctioned racing event. PMC Racing has competed in the toughest off-road races from the Baja 1000 and Mint 400, to the Las Vegas to Reno, but not until now have they competed in a rally-racing event. During the summer months, the PMC Racing crew, with their newly outfitted Ringer’s Gloves, went to work on all three of the PMC trucks. The crew started with a complete redesign of the rear suspension on their Trophy Truck #15 that began after the Parker 425 this year. After a high-speed rollover at the Terrible 250 in Primm, the PMC Racing team was then faced with rebuilding their entire stock full #8105 from the frame up. The PMC crew also needed to get the #815 Open 2WD Rally Truck prepped for the October 2nd race event.

The Prescott Rally is in its 22nd year running, and is round 6 of the United States Rally Championship – Pacific Series. It will feature top driver’s from around the country that are expected to battle through some of the most beautiful scenery the United States has to offer. “When I was presented with the opportunity to race a rally event earlier this year, I was excited at the chance to not only race against some of the best drivers in the U.S., but also to have the chance to become a multi-dimensional race car driver,” commented Trent Beaver. PMC Racing’s #815 rally truck will compete in the Open 2WD division and will be in the running for the overall win in next weekend’s event.

“I am in awe on how much work the PMC Racing team did over this summer, as many teams focus strictly on one truck and are still searching for more time between races. The PMC team worked hard in temperatures exceeding 115 degrees on three trucks and the work they did, turned out phenomenal,” stated Trent Beaver, driver of the #8105 stock full and #815 rally truck. “I knew after the roll-over that occurred at Primm we would have our hands full trying to get all the trucks back together for the fall race schedule, and I can’t thank the PMC team enough for the hard work they have put in.”

As PMC Racing continues their 2009 racing campaign, they plan to head back to their desert racing roots for the 5th and final race of the Best In the Desert season fielding both their #15 Ford F-150 Trophy Truck driven by Trent’s older brother Jim Beaver, as well as their #8105 Ford Stock Full. Jim and Trent will both be gunning for victories in the Best in the Desert, Henderson Desert Classic looking to carry momentum into the 2010 desert-racing season. PMC Racing would like to thank their current sponsors for their continued support as well as their new sponsors for the rally event: Parker Motor Company, Ford Trucks, KC HiLites, Goodyear Tires, Ringers Gloves, Reily’s Race Wire, MSD Ignition, JTDezert Photo, Ruperto’s Mexican Food, A and Z Farms, Prescott Glass, McGee Drilling and Pump Service, Kidzaam Dentistry, and Napa Auto Parts.
